Terms of service

These terms explain the rules for using Skillatory, the responsibilities of account holders, and how assessments, profiles, and certifications work.

Effective August 20, 2026

Using Skillatory

Skillatory provides tools for creating and taking skills assessments, issuing certifications, and connecting companies with candidates. By using the Service, you agree to these terms and to use the Service only as permitted by law.

You must provide accurate information, keep your account details current, and protect your login credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account and must promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

Assessment integrity

Candidates must complete assessments honestly and follow the instructions shown for each assessment. Companies are responsible for creating fair, accurate assessment content and for using results as one input in their decisions.

Where monitoring or identity verification is enabled, candidates will be told what is required before starting. Skillatory may pause, review, invalidate, or restrict an attempt when it detects suspected misuse or a violation of assessment rules.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit, including profile information, assessment content, responses, and uploaded materials. You grant Skillatory the limited license needed to host, process, display, and share that content to provide the Service and according to your settings.

You must have the rights needed to submit your content. Do not upload unlawful, misleading, infringing, abusive, or malicious material, or content containing another person’s personal information without permission.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the Service, probe or bypass its security, access another person’s account, scrape or harvest information without authorization, misrepresent assessment results, reverse engineer the Service, or use it to violate another person’s rights.

Payments and third-party services

Some features or assessments may require payment. Prices and applicable terms are shown before purchase, and payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. Authentication, hosting, communications, and other integrations may also be provided by third parties and may have their own terms.

Our content and availability

Skillatory and its underlying software, branding, and materials are owned by Skillatory or its licensors. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service, including for maintenance or security reasons. The Service is provided on an availability basis, and assessment results or candidate matches are not guarantees of employment or performance.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address a material violation of these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that should reasonably survive termination will continue to apply.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or a particular hiring or certification outcome. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. If you have questions about these terms, contact Skillatory through the support channel provided in the Service.
